**Claim 1 (Tier 3-4, historical/biographical — surprising, flagged).** The Babylonian Talmud's canonical page layout — Gemara centered, Rashi and Tosafot commentary boxing it in the margins — was fixed by Daniel Bomberg, a Christian printer in Venice, whose 1520–23 edition "became the standard format, which all later editions have followed" (Jewish Encyclopedia / Wikipedia). Talmud commentary, errata slips, and the Perceptrons 1969/1988 boundary are the same structure — correct by surrounding, never by erasing — and the vault's myth-ledger notes ([[myth-werbos-invented-backpropagation]]'s append-only "Status history") already practice it without naming it.
