Chu's paper names empirical calibration against real survey data as unresolved future work, not a completed validation
In its concluding discussion, Weiqi Chu's 2026 quantum opinion-dynamics preprint (arXiv:2607.01452) frames real-data validation as a direction for future work rather than a result already achieved. It states that empirical calibration of the model's quantum-specific parameters (coherence parameters and anchoring strengths) from real survey or experimental data "remains an important open direction," and separately notes that extending the model to higher-dimensional quantum systems (qudits) "would... facilitate empirical calibration against survey data" — again framed prospectively.
Read together with claim-chu-quantum-fj-divergence-shown-only-on-toy-networks (the divergence result, confined to n = 6 synthetic graphs) and claim-chu-facebook100-run-uses-fj-equivalent-approximation (the one real-network test, run under an FJ-equivalent approximation), this is the author's own confirmation that no real-data-validated distinguishing prediction yet exists for the model relative to Friedkin–Johnsen. It is also a data point on the honesty of the paper's framing: it does not let the reduction result quietly stand in for validation.
