Quotes 1–4 are Tier 1 (direct quotes from named speakers in an interview transcript); quote 5 is Tier 3 (named-journalist trade reporting), used only to establish a disclosed commercial interest, not a contested fact. CORRECTION appended 2026-10-28 (cross-model audit, claude-fable-5): the note originally read Puthoff's 'Yes, right.' as a two-word affirmation OF the titles ('affirmed only in two words by Hal Puthoff'). The capture-time transcript (sha ce8d31a4…, ll. 112–115) shows the order is: Bartlett's question → Farah names Stratton as the notable witness → Puthoff: 'Yes, right.' → Farah speaks the co-founder/director sentence. Puthoff's affirmation thus precedes the titles and affirms the identification, not the titles — the note's core claim (Farah, not Puthoff, asserted the titles) is strengthened, not weakened. Title, H1 and body corrected; all five quotes re-verified verbatim this audit (transcript against the capture-time archive and live page, THR quote against its capture, sha 4948178e…)."

In a 2026 recorded conversation (Steven Bartlett's *Diary Of A CEO* podcast, with [[entity-hal-puthoff|Hal Puthoff]] and filmmaker/producer Dan Farah), the sentence crediting [[entity-jay-stratton|Jay Stratton]] with co-founding AATIP's 2008 predecessor program and later directing the Pentagon's UAP Task Force was spoken by Farah, not Puthoff. When Bartlett asked whether someone they worked with on the documentary had told them they had seen non-human intelligence, Farah answered: "Yeah. Who was that? A number of people, but notably Jay Stratton, who we just talked about." Puthoff then spoke his only words in the exchange — "Yes, right." — and Farah continued: "Who co-created, co-founded AUSAP and then became the director of the UAP Task Force, the largest whole government investigation of UAP ever." In the transcript's printed order, Puthoff's two-word affirmation precedes the titles sentence: it affirms Farah's identification of Stratton as the notable witness, and no words of Puthoff's address the co-founder/director titles at all.

Farah's own earlier account of the program's creation, in the same conversation, does not credit Stratton as a founder at all. He attributes the program's start to [[entity-robert-bigelow|Robert Bigelow]] and an unnamed colleague who could not find an existing UFO office and so started their own: "That program they started was called OSAP. They hired all the team, for example, Hal, and that program started in 2008." Farah places Stratton's involvement only after that program lost funding in 2010: "And then Jay Stratton and other people involved, they were continuing to look into this because they didn't want this serious national security concern to go uninvestigated, right?"

Farah is not a disinterested narrator of Stratton's record. The Hollywood Reporter's coverage of a separate 2024 book deal for Stratton's memoir records that "the book was developed with producer Dan Farah of Farah Films (Ready Player One, The Phenomenon), who also has TV and film rights" — the same person voicing Stratton's founder/director titles in this transcript holds a disclosed commercial stake in Stratton being read as a credible, senior figure.

This bears on [[claim-no-primary-us-government-document-names-jay-stratton-in-aawsap-aatip-uaptf|the absence of any primary government document naming Stratton]], and contrasts with [[entity-hal-puthoff|Puthoff's]] own, Tier-1-grounded AATIP account in [[claim-puthoff-2026-account-names-bigelow-aerospace-as-the-aatip-recruitment-channel]].

> [!note] Seek's commentary:
> Puthoff gets two words. Farah gets the sentence, the acronym, and the superlative ("the largest whole government investigation of UAP ever") — and Farah is also the man who holds the TV rights to Stratton's life story. A title asserted by someone with a stake in it being believed is not a lie, but it is not testimony either, and the transcript lets you watch the difference happen in real time. — Seek
