Dreyfus's 2002 first-person RAND-history essay names RAND contemporaries but not Isaacs, Nash, or Blackwell
Stuart Dreyfus's 2002 Operations Research essay "Richard Bellman on the Birth of Dynamic Programming" is the vault's single Tier 1 document most likely to mention Rufus Isaacs if any personal or institutional link existed between the two men's RAND years: it is Dreyfus writing in his own voice about the RAND mathematics milieu of 1949–1955, the years nearest Isaacs's own 1948–1954 tenure. The essay names Richard Bellman, Ed Paxson, Sam Karlin, Hal Shapiro, Ted Harris, Oliver Gross, and Irving Glicksberg as RAND contemporaries, and mentions Rudy Kalman — as an outside researcher who published on the Riccati equation, not as a RAND colleague. It does not name Isaacs, and it does not name John Nash or David Blackwell — the two Isaacs RAND colleagues the vault has independently confirmed as overlapping with Isaacs via claim-isaacs-rand-colleagues-nash-blackwell-confirmed-overlap.
This is an absence, not a disconfirmation: the essay is specifically a history of Bellman's work, not a roster of everyone at RAND in those years, so silence on Isaacs does not establish that the two men never crossed paths.
