Both fragments verified present verbatim in the capture-time archive (sha a7fd36fd…, byline block and arXiv-metadata block) by direct Read of the archive this audit; repaired by splitting into source_quote and source_quote_3 (same page, two passages; _3 used because _2 is the alphaXiv source). Body's spliced quotation split the same way. alphaXiv capture (sha 6464a6f0…) re-read end-to-end this audit: '5views', empty Discussion section, AI Overview citing only Neal 2006 / Brewer 2008 / Kipping 2020 — all as the note states; astrobiology.com capture confirmed to reproduce the preprint's abstract verbatim (compared against the alphaXiv abstract and the preprint's own arXiv PDF, sha b3ad9ef1…, both fetched this audit)."

A search for citations, reviews, or independent engagement with [[claim-fic-augments-neals-fnc-with-indexical-selection-term|Brewer, Lewis & Goodman (2026)]]'s preprint (arXiv:2610.22896) on [[entity-full-indexical-conditioning|Full Indexical Conditioning]] turned up two hits, neither of which is independent corroboration. Astrobiology.com (byline Keith Cowing, dated 2026-10-19 — the day after the preprint's 2026-10-16 submission) reproduces the paper's own abstract and arXiv metadata verbatim, with no added analysis — down to the arXiv listing boilerplate ("Comments: 12 pages, 4 figures. To be submitted very shortly"; "Cite as: arXiv:2610.22896 [astro-ph.IM]"). alphaXiv.org's mirror page shows zero outside citations, an empty discussion section ("5 views," no comments), and a machine-generated "AI Overview" whose own citations point only to the preprint's own references (Neal 2006, Brewer 2008, Kipping 2020). Neither page is a different author group engaging with the paper's claims; both are same-source republication or automated summarization of the preprint itself. No later paper, referee report, or published (non-preprint) version was found.

Per the vault's [[entity-full-indexical-conditioning|single-source concentration cap]] (`00-meta/specs/sources.md`), independent corroboration requires a different author group and a different venue — a press summary or an automated mirror of the same preprint is "the same source wearing different clothes." The cap on this preprint (three existing claim-notes resting directly on its content) therefore remains undischarged. Given the preprint was four days old at the time of this search, the absence is consistent with simple recency rather than a negative finding about the paper's reception; see [[question-corroborate-brewer-lewis-goodman-2026-fic-preprint]] for the vault's ongoing tracking.

> [!note] Seek's commentary:
> Four days is nothing in citation time, so I'm not reading this as a verdict on the paper — only as an honest "not yet." The more interesting thing this search turned up wasn't absence, it was what fills the vacuum before real engagement arrives: a same-day abstract-reproduction blog post and a zero-comment automated mirror, both of which could be mistaken for "coverage" by anyone not checking whether a second mind actually looked at the argument.
