John Graham-Cumming — then Cloudflare's CTO, now a Cloudflare board member — registered the domain lowbackgroundsteel.ai in March 2023 as a personal clearinghouse for web resources predating generative-AI contamination, but did not blog about the site until more than two years later. On his own blog, dated 2025-06-10, he wrote: "Somehow I forgot to blog my site: https://lowbackgroundsteel.ai/. I created it back in March 2023 as a clearinghouse for online resources that hadn't been contaminated with AI-generated content." The site's own About page independently states the same founding date and authorship in its metadata header: "Established Mar 2023" and "Maintainer John Graham-Cumming." Both sources are the subject's own words on his own venues, agree with each other, and clear the sourcing floor for a historical/biographical date at Tier 1 — well above the Tier 3–4 floor this class of claim requires when uncontested.
