search located six pages carrying the figure — a Habr retelling by
"andreybrylb" (2025), History-Computer.com, Computer Timeline, and a handful
of Russian aggregator mirrors — but every one traces textually to the same
2000 O. Solovyova sentence in *Наука и жизнь*, not to an independent count.
The Habr piece adds real independent material elsewhere (a Saratov dam
application, Baikal–Amur Mainline use, a 1976 permafrost-engineering
reference) but its deployment-scale sentence is a near-verbatim copy of
Solovyova's, down to the same three organization categories. The two
English-language sites match each other closely enough to suggest a shared
intermediate (likely Wikipedia-mediated) rendering rather than two
independent translations. No source located anywhere in the search cites an
archival, statistical, or production record as the figure's origin.
