A search for either a published English translation of

English-language secondary source that quotes, paraphrases, or otherwise
engages the essay's specific arguments returned neither. The journal's own
site offers an English-language toggle on every page, but its issue-by-issue
table of contents renders article titles and author names in Chinese only,
with no English abstract for Issue 112 or this essay specifically. Two
