independently-readable full-text scan of the **1969 MIT Press first edition** of
[[entity-marvin-minsky|Minsky]] & [[entity-seymour-papert|Papert]]'s *Perceptrons* (as distinct from the 1988 Expanded Edition). A
direct Internet Archive catalog query for `title:(Perceptrons) AND
creator:(Minsky)` returned exactly two items — `perceptronsintro0000mins` and
`perceptronsintro00mins` — both catalogued as the 1988 edition ("Perceptrons: an
introduction to computational geometry"); no 1969-dated item appears in the
catalog under that search. A HathiTrust catalog search returned HTTP 403 on both
attempts (unresolved either way). Google Books lists only "about" pages, with no
full-text preview, for the 1969 printings. A Scribd upload titled "Minsky1969 –
An Introduction to Computational Geometry" exposes only a 9-page fragment with no
provenance confirming it is a genuine 1969 scan, and was not used as evidence.

This is a negative search finding — a report of what could *not* be found, not a
positive claim about the book's contents. Its significance is that it fixes the
residual gap in the vault's Perceptrons work: the assertion that
"[[entity-credit-assignment|credit-assignment]]" is absent from the 1969 body
