Per historian Petr Blažek, who edited the 2017 documentary edition of the
StB's own files on [[entity-patocka|Jan Patočka]], the surviving StB
record documents specific measures taken around Patočka's funeral under
the codename "Akce Dědek" ["Operation Old Man"]. These included a low
helicopter overflight of the cemetery — "one of two Soviet helicopters the
Interior Ministry had recently bought, mainly for traffic surveillance" —
and speedway motorcyclists from the Interior Ministry's own club, Red Star,
revving engines at the Markéta stadium next door. Per Blažek, the engine
noise drowned out even the priest's own graveside remarks. The file itself
survives only as a final report plus surveillance and agent records; the
operational staff's own planning minutes could not be located.

This adds a specific, documented state mechanism to the vault's existing
record of the crackdown following [[claim-patocka-1977-death-after-stb-interrogation|Patočka's
death]] — not general suppression, but a named, funded, hardware-equipped
operation aimed at one funeral.
