A U.S. Department of Defense office established July 2022 to lead the DoD's investigation of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), including the historical record of prior government involvement. Its congressionally-mandated "Report on the Historical Record of U.S. Government Involvement with Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, Volume I" (February 2024, NDAA FY2023 §6802(j)) is the vault's first Tier 1 primary-document source on the AAWSAP/AATIP program, and it matters here as the authoritative institutional voice on questions — naming, funding, chronology — that prior vault captures had only been able to answer from press coverage.
