Researcher (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and lead author, with Carmen Mazijn,
Vincent Holst, Floriano Tori, Sylvia Wenmackers, and Vincent Ginis, of
"Large Language Models Reflect Human Citation Patterns with a Heightened
Citation Bias" (arXiv 2405.15739, 2024; *Findings of the ACL: NAACL 2025*).

Matters to this vault as the first peer-reviewed, independent replication of
[[entity-eduard-petiska|Petiška]]'s citation-popularity finding: a different
author group, a different database (Semantic Scholar, not Google Scholar),
and a different field (computer science, not environmental science) that
reached the same result without citing Petiška's work at all.
