Co-compiled, with V.A. Senderov, the 1979–80 statistical study
"Intellectual Genocide: examinations for Jews at MGU, MFTI and MIFI" — an
underground samizdat report tabulating a large Mekh-mat/MIFI/MFTI
admission-rate gap between Jewish-lineage and non-Jewish-lineage applicants
despite comparable or better olympiad performance by the former. The
document itself has not been independently located; it is known to the
vault only through A. Shen's 1994 reproduction of its table.

It holds that Kanevskii owns "a large private archive of Samizdat documents," including the unpublished Russian original, and that he co-authored a 2012 first-person retrospective in *Troitsky Variant* alongside Shifman. - 2026-08-22: A Chronicle of Current Events No. 56 (30 April 1980) — a routine corrigenda note, independent of both Shen and "Intellectual Genocide" — names Kanevsky directly, alongside Senderov, as author of the Mekh-mat six-school enrolment compilation Document No. 112 reported on. This is the first pre-1994 source found by this vault naming Kanevsky as the compilation's author in his own document's era.
