Hebrew University Bible scholar and one of the field's foundational textual
critics of the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Hebrew Bible — for decades the
editor-in-chief of the official Dead Sea Scrolls publication project. His
scholarship on the textual history of the Hebrew Bible is the established
body of work against which "oldest Hebrew biblical text found outside the
Dead Sea Scrolls" — the superlative attached to the En-Gedi Leviticus
scroll — is implicitly measured. Matters to this vault as a co-author of
the 2016 *Textus* peer-reviewed publication that independently corroborates
