Iranologist and author of *Burzōy's Voyage to India and the Origin of the
Book of Kalīlah wa Dimnah* (Royal Asiatic Society Prize Publication Fund vol.
XXIII, 1990) — the standard modern scholarly monograph on the historicity of
Borzuya's mission and the textual history of the lost Pahlavi translation
underlying [[claim-kalila-wa-dimna-descends-from-borzuyas-lost-pahlavi|Kalila
wa-Dimna]]. Both Encyclopaedia Iranica and the current
[[entity-anonymclassic-project|AnonymClassic]] critical-edition project treat
his monograph as the reference point for this question. Matters to this
vault as the named authority behind two specific findings this promotion
could only partly verify above the sourcing floor: his reconstruction of the
lost Pahlavi text's title as *Karīrak ud Damanak*, and his conclusion that
Borzuya's authorship "can be neither proven nor falsified" — a formulation
this vault currently holds at `[unverified-quote — needs direct read]`
because the Encyclopaedia Iranica page summarizing him returned HTTP 403 to
