Geometric Trinity
A name coined by Jiménez, Heisenberg and Koivisto in "The Geometrical Trinity of Gravity" (Universe 5(7):173, 2019) for the result that three gravitational theories — general relativity (built from curvature), the Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity (built from torsion), and the Symmetric Teleparallel Equivalent of General Relativity (built from non-metricity) — produce dynamically equivalent field equations despite resting on three different fundamental geometric attributes of spacetime. Matters to this vault as a live case of theoretical underdetermination with an active, named challenger: Kartik Tiwari's 2026 "hypermomentum challenge," arguing the equivalence holds only under a restriction on the matter sector that current experiments cannot test.
