Harold Stone
Harold Stone was a visiting professor at UC Berkeley in the late 1970s and, with William Kahan and Kahan's student Jerome Coonen, co-author of the "K-C-S" draft specification that the IEEE p754 committee adopted as the working basis of the IEEE 754 floating-point standard.
Stone is the "S" in K-C-S — the third named author of the document this vault's floating-point-standards lineage runs through, and otherwise unattested in the vault so far.
