San Diego neural-network company, co-founded by
[[entity-robert-hecht-nielsen|Robert Hecht-Nielsen]], that shipped the
Falcon Fraud Manager in 1992 — a feedforward, backpropagation-trained
network for real-time card-fraud scoring, per its own founding patent (US
5,819,226, filed the same year). Acquired by
[[entity-fair-isaac-corporation-fico|Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO)]] in
2002, folding Falcon into infrastructure FICO's own filings say scored a
majority of the world's card transactions. The company itself has been
referenced across the vault's Falcon cluster since 2026-07-09 but had no
dedicated hub until this capture made both its centrality and the gap
explicit.
