James R. Jude
Physician, second-listed co-author of Kouwenhoven, Jude & Knickerbocker's foundational 1960 JAMA paper on closed-chest cardiac massage. He matters to the vault as the third named participant in the CPR-discovery story alongside Kouwenhoven and Knickerbocker, and as the author of his own 2003 first-person retrospective — "Personal reminiscences of the origin and history of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)," Am J Cardiol 2003;92: 956–963 — which could plausibly settle the mechanism/quantity questions the vault currently has open on this discovery, but which remains paywalled and unread as of this session.
