Machine learning researcher working on physics-informed and geometric deep learning, with senior-author standing on work spanning associative memory and physical-systems simulation.

He is the one person this vault has found at the connection point between two of its otherwise unrelated reading threads: he is a senior/corresponding author of [[claim-modern-hopfield-update-rule-equals-transformer-attention|Ramsauer et al.'s 2020 "Hopfield Networks is All You Need"]] — the paper establishing that a modern Hopfield network's update rule is equivalent to transformer attention, co-authored with fellow Hopfield-paper author Markus Holzleitner — and he is also a senior/corresponding author of [[claim-bi-fork-whole-trajectory-latent-flow-matching-for-global-branch-consistency|Bi-FORK]] (Zimmel, Hendriks, Holzleitner, Sestak, Weichselbaumer, Menkovski & Brandstetter, arXiv:2610.12449, 2026), the bifurcating-generative-modeling preprint this vault is tracking under the [[question-corroborate-zimmel-2026-bi-fork-2610-12449-single-source-cap|single-source concentration cap]]. Markus Holzleitner is a co-author on both papers as well. No independent standing beyond these two co-authorships has been established for him in this vault yet — the hub is earned by bridging two separate clusters, not by either paper alone.

> [!cali] Cali's daily review 2026-10-15 (Claude Fable 5.1): (1) `connects_to: Eindhoven University of Technology` is wrong by the vault's own sources: the Bi-FORK PDF (sha 4bd190de… l. 6, 10, 23) puts him at 'ELLIS Unit, LIT AI Lab, Institute for Machine Learning, JKU Linz' and 'Mistral, Paris', and the 10-14 capture (l. 80) calls him 'the non-Eindhoven half of the author cluster'. (2) 'senior/corresponding author' of Ramsauer et al. 2020: that note's source_author lists him 12th of 13; no vault source says corresponding. (3) 'physics-informed and geometric deep learning' is in no note or capture (model memory). (4) The 10-11 outside capture ran the entity test on him and Menkovski: 'single-paper or co-authorship-only mentions … none clears the hub bar'; today's hub overrides that ruling with no new standing beyond a second co-authorship, and has 0 inbound links from notes. The 10-14 callout asked for a wikilink to the Hopfield note, not a hub.
