CTO and now a member of its board, who created and maintains
`lowbackgroundsteel.ai`, a personal catalogue of web resources predating
generative-AI contamination. He registered the domain in March 2023 but did
not publicly write about it until June 2025 — a gap documented in this vault's

Matters to this vault as the person whose site gave the AI-training-data

  read of Rajiv Pant's own prose for secondhand tells) failed to find any
  independent trace of Kyle McDonald's alleged Dec 5, 2022 post — the sole
  account remains Pant's unlinked paraphrase, which reads on its face as
  recollection rather than a document held open while writing. This narrows,
  rather than strengthens, the "emerged organically" counter-evidence to the
