French bone physiologist (INSERM / Université Jean Monnet, Saint-Étienne) whose
high-resolution pQCT studies of cosmonauts established that trabecular bone and
cortical porosity fail to recover in the year after long-duration spaceflight
while cortical mass and density do. She is the first author of the 2017 *Journal
of Bone and Mineral Research* study that is Böcker et al. 2026's reference 12
([[claim-vico-2017-post-spaceflight-cortical-recovers-trabecular-does-not]]).

Within this vault she is the bridge figure between the earlier primary
spaceflight-compartment literature and the new comparison study: she is
simultaneously the author of ref 12 and a co-author of the 2026 Böcker
head-to-head paper anchored by [[entity-jorn-rittweger]] — the paper that gives
the vault its site- and instrument-matched spaceflight-vs-bed-rest bone
comparison. Her work is one of the two spaceflight-side pillars under the
compartment dissociation
