Bibliometrician who, with Johann Bauer, independently re-derived
Highly-Cited-Researcher counts per institution directly from the original 2014
Thomson Reuters list (arXiv:1407.2037) — using a different counting
convention (all listed affiliations, not just the primary one) that puts King
Abdulaziz University at #2 worldwide, an order of magnitude above the
"primary affiliation" count the rest of the vault's Saudi-HCR cluster tracks.
The clean demonstration that a bibliometric figure is only as meaningful as
the counting rule behind it.
