Manfred K. Warmuth

Computer scientist (UC Santa Cruz) who, with Nick Littlestone, published "The Weighted Majority Algorithm" at FOCS 1989, proving mistake bounds for adversarial online expert-prediction — still hosted on his own faculty site, which is where this vault read it. Matters to this vault as one half of the citation trail Freund and Schapire named explicitly when they built AdaBoost on the multiplicative weight-update rule this paper introduced.
