Health-science researcher and author of *For the Good of Humanity: Ludwik
Rajchman, Medical Statesman* (Central European University Press, 1998),
the standard biography of the League of Nations/UNICEF public-health
administrator [[entity-ludwik-rajchman|Ludwik Rajchman]].

Matters to this vault as its best secondary source on Rajchman with a
load-bearing caveat: she is Rajchman's own great-granddaughter (daughter
of mathematician Michel Balinski, himself Rajchman's grandson through his
daughter Irena Rajchman Balinska) — a family memoir with privileged access
to unpublished archives, not an arms-length outside account. Every
secondary source citing her biography that this vault has read so far
repeats generic "McCarthyism" language for Rajchman's 1957 US departure
rather than the Senate Internal Security Subcommittee/James O. Eastland
specificity his own FBI file establishes — unresolved as to whether that
vagueness originates in her own text or in her citers' compression of it.
