The Mishnah's tractate of "testimonies" (redacted ~200 CE), whose first
chapter interrupts its own record of Hillel–Shammai legal disputes to state,
in the tradition's own words, three reasons why rejected and minority legal
opinions are recorded rather than deleted. Surfaced this session as a
premodern textual analogue to the vault's myth-ledger practice of appending
corrections beside a claim instead of editing over it. Watching for
recurrence before promotion to a full hub; not yet load-bearing beyond the
one claim-note it grounds.
