Soviet hydraulic engineer and academician (1884–1937), known for work on
groundwater seepage and hydraulic-structure theory. Vault-relevant for
establishing, in 1918, the "principle of analogy" — that two physical
processes governed by the same differential equation can stand in for one

Lukyanov]] relied on to model heat-driven concrete cracking by letting water
flow through his
