A specialized braille notation for mathematics and science, developed privately by blind mathematician Abraham Nemeth in the 1940s and later adopted as the US standard for braille math. Matters to this vault as a hinge concept between two clusters: the [[moc-blind-mathematicians-working-methods|blind mathematicians' working methods]] thread (private notation, invented alone, disclosed almost by accident) and the braille-standards-war thread (BANA's 2012 UEB vote left Nemeth Code alive as an officially parallel code, producing the current unresolved state-by-state split this vault has now traced in some detail).
