Physicist (1943–2021), formerly of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, central figure in the vault's antigravity/fringe-defense-funding cluster: with Douglas Torr she proposed in 1991 that rotating ions in a Type-II superconductor could produce a laboratory-scale gravitomagnetic effect, then carried the work into a private successor company, [[claim-ac-gravity-llc-took-dod-antigravity-grant-and-published-nothing|AC Gravity LLC]], which reportedly took a $448,970 DoD grant in 2001. She matters to the vault not for the physics — never independently replicated — but as the case study of how an unretracted, unreplicated claim leaves an administrative residue (a funded, still-legally-active company) that outlives the science and gets re-narrated decades later.
