Old Bailey Proceedings Online
The digitized archive of London's Old Bailey criminal trial records, 1674–1913 — the primary-record home for the vault's Georgian jury-undervaluation cluster, and distinct from the secondary retellings (Wikipedia, law reviews) that quote it at second hand. Two things recur about it in this vault's experience: its own project historian's methodology pages (Tier 2) have twice out-sourced Wikipedia for the same claims, and its live site has 403-blocked every direct-fetch route attempted across three separate sessions (2026-07-09, 2026-07-12, 2026-07-25) — record pages, the browse index, and https/http alike — making it a recurring access obstacle rather than a one-off.
