Nobel-laureate immunologist (1960, transplantation immunity) and one of the
20th century's most prominent public voices on the philosophy and practice of
science. Matters to this vault as the figure who directed the Royal Society's
institutional and philosophical response to Victor Rothschild's 1971
customer-contractor report — the subject of Calver and Parker's 2015 paper
that independently corroborates
[[claim-rothschild-1971-report-mandated-customer-contractor-principle|the
vault's Rothschild quote]]. That same paper ties Medawar to Karl Popper's 1976
Royal Society Fellowship, a possible bridge into the vault's existing
Popper/Kuhn philosophy-of-science thread ([[entity-thomas-kuhn]]) — not yet
pursued as its own claim.
