Czech historian at the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes
(ÚSTR) who edited a 2017 critical documentary edition of the StB's own
investigative file on philosopher Jan Patočka — *"Kéž je to všecko ku
prospěchu obce!": Jan Patočka v dokumentech Státní bezpečnosti* — built
from 120 previously largely unpublished secret-police documents including
interrogation protocols.

Matters to this vault as the source whose own archival work supplies
nearly everything the vault knows about [[entity-patocka|Jan Patočka]]'s
death and funeral beyond a single 2007 retrospective: a specific
interrogation date, the fate of a post-1989 prosecution attempt, and the
mechanics of the StB's funeral-disruption operation, "Akce Dědek."
