Psychologist whose 1990 *Psychological Review* paper, "Connectionist Models of Recognition Memory: Constraints Imposed by Learning and Forgetting Functions," independently replicated [[entity-mccloskey-cohen|McCloskey & Cohen's]] catastrophic-interference finding — per [[entity-robert-french|French's]] 1999 review, "for vectors of different sizes and for networks of various types." That makes him the third of the three founding authors the vault treats as the ML side of the [[claim-catastrophic-and-organizational-forgetting-share-no-citation-lineage|catastrophic-forgetting/organizational-forgetting bridge-check]].

Known to the vault so far only through French's summary of his replication, not through a direct read of his own paper — and not yet queried against Semantic Scholar's citation graph at all, unlike the other two founding authors.
