Founder of Bismarck Analysis and writer of the Bismarck Brief. Author of two
named Tier-2 pieces the vault cites as its primary independent theoretical
grounding for the ASML/Zeiss EUV mirror advantage: "The Tradition of
Knowledge Behind ASML" (2023) and "Carl Zeiss' Tradition of Knowledge in
Optics" (2025, paywalled beyond its preview). Burja frames ASML/Zeiss's
capability as "intellectual dark matter" — tacit, cross-organizational
know-how traceable back to Philips's NatLab labs in the 1970s — and names
Martin van den Brink as its living carrier. Also supplies the corroborating
later chapter (Nikon's abandoned 2008 EUV prototype) for the vault's
correction of the Nikon/Canon exclusion story.
