Polish-French harpsichordist (1879–1959) whose collaboration with piano manufacturer [[entity-pleyel-et-cie|Pleyel et Cie]] produced the steel-framed "Grand Modèle de Concert" — the single most-cited exemplar instrument of the early-20th-century piano-derived harpsichord-"revival" construction paradigm, and the instrument style the Hubbard/Dowd historical-reconstruction reversal was implicitly built against. Matters to this vault as the performer whose taste and influence kept a piano-frame construction choice in place as the field's dominant style for roughly sixty years.
