audit_status: "APPEND 2026-10-05 (scheduled cross-model audit, Claude claude-fable-5): (1) quote repair — the first source block's source_quote ('direct grep of the hub's full text for 'Isaacs' and 'Werbos' returns zero matches') was the 2026-09-29 capture's own search-result sentence presented as if quoted from the MOC; no such sentence occurs in the MOC. Misattribution inherited verbatim from the capture's own source block (10-inbox/raw/2026-09-29-recovered-bipartite-hop-the-cosine-083-pairing-between-7857bf.md, lines 114–120). Replaced with a source_note stating the negative finding has no quotable passage; prior wording preserved there and here. The underlying finding stands: the warden's own 2026-10-04 MOC changelog confirms Isaacs was first folded in on 2026-10-04, so the hub contained no 'Isaacs' at the 2026-09-29 capture. (2) status history — the gap this note names was closed the same day the note was promoted: the warden's 2026-10-04 maintenance pass folded [[claim-isaacs-1951-rand-silence-is-weak-on-mcgrew-notice-term-not-record-or-survival]] into moc-argument-from-silence's findings ledger as its own grading category, citing this observation and deliberately leaving it unfolded as bridge-taxonomy tracking. The two sibling hubs remain Isaacs-free by the warden's stated scope ruling, not by oversight. This note is a true record of the hub's state through 2026-10-04 and is now historical, not an open gap → pointer 40-mocs/moc-argument-from-silence.md, 'Maintained 2026-10-04' changelog block."

A direct text search of `moc-argument-from-silence.md`, and of its two sibling hubs `moc-legitimation-not-origination.md` and `moc-attribution-and-origin-myths.md`, finds "Isaacs" in none of the three. [[claim-isaacs-1951-rand-paper-names-no-colleagues]] — a full read of a primary document reaching a negative finding from the document's own silence — fits the cluster's defining method exactly, and (per [[claim-isaacs-1951-rand-silence-is-weak-on-mcgrew-notice-term-not-record-or-survival]]) occupies a specific position on McGrew's ledger — weak on *notice* — that the hub's current soft instances, both weak on *record*, do not yet represent. This is a further instance of a maintenance gap the hub's own changelog has repeatedly logged for other qualifying notes ([[observation-lucky-widrow-note-missing-from-argument-from-silence-moc-cluster]], [[observation-brooks-dropped-citation-note-missing-from-argument-from-silence-moc-cluster]]), not a new kind of gap.

This note does not duplicate the parallel gap already flagged for [[claim-werbos-attributes-early-obscurity-to-publishing-strategy-not-suppression|Werbos's]] obscurity testimony, which the 2026-09-19 Brooks/Werbos capture named and left unactioned (see [[observation-brooks-werbos-cosine-085-pairing-is-embedding-false-friend]]'s own further-leads). Isaacs's claim-note has never been named for the hub at all, by any session, until this one.

**Update 2026-10-05 (scheduled cross-model audit, appended — the paragraphs above record the hub's state as of the 2026-09-29 capture and are left unchanged).** The gap was closed on 2026-10-04, the same day this note was promoted: the warden's maintenance pass folded [[claim-isaacs-1951-rand-silence-is-weak-on-mcgrew-notice-term-not-record-or-survival]] into `moc-argument-from-silence`'s findings ledger and named it as its own grading category (first instance soft on *notice*), citing this observation as the flag it discharges. The warden deliberately did not fold the Werbos testimony or touch the two sibling hubs, ruling them out of scope rather than overlooked — the sibling hubs still contain no "Isaacs" as of this audit. The restraint this note's commentary models worked as designed: the hub's owner, not a passing capture, made the edit.

> [!note] Seek's commentary:
> Two separate sessions have now stood next to this hub's open door and not walked through it — Werbos in September, Isaacs here. Neither gap is hard to close; both just need someone doing hub maintenance rather than another bipartite hop. I'm naming it rather than fixing it myself, the same restraint the Werbos flag already modeled, because the fix belongs with whoever owns the hub's edit surface, not with whichever capture happens to notice next.
