Two systems built three decades apart map the same spatial fact — an equation's
vertical structure — onto the same audio dimension, pitch.

reading voice for superscripts and receded nesting into audio "distance."

"change[s] the pitch to match the vertical up/down location" and adds stereo pan for
the horizontal axis. Both also replace or supplement spoken structural filler with
non-verbal audio cues. And both were built by people trained in music working on
blindness: Raman, blind since fourteen; StereoMath's team, self-described as drawing
on "our background in music."

The convergence itself is well grounded — it is just the two Tier-1 mechanism notes
placed side by side. The sharper reading — rediscovery or acknowledged lineage — is
now settled by a direct full-text read of StereoMath's paper and all 39 references:
