Greenhalgh's 2003 article poses the legitimation-versus-origination question explicitly, in her own words, and resolves it with political rather than scientific evidence

In Greenhalgh's 2005 China Quarterly arc, no sentence argues that Song Jian's imported science explains the preexisting 1976 leadership consensus

The 2005-welds/2003-disperses compositional asymmetry in Greenhalgh's narrative structure is not diagnostic of whether science or politics came first — it is a fact about her prose, not her argument

What genuinely connects the 2005 tight-arc observation and the 2003 compositional-separation claim: the bridge holds — in neither article does Greenhalgh argue the science explains the preexisting political consensus, so welding (2005) and dispersing (2003) are equally consistent with the sequencing claim

The cosine-0.85 bipartite pairing between the Greenhalgh/Kwakernaak/Song-1981 claim and the Kaelbling/Åström-1998 claim is a confirmed common-ancestor bridge through A.A. Fel'dbaum, asymmetric in kind and date

Capture: Does a genuine mechanism connect the Wikipedia-Amari-SGD citogenesis diagnosis and the Kwakernaak-1977 citation-trail dating-dispute observation, or is the cosine-0.84 pairing a false friend?

What connects Greenhalgh's Kwakernaak-1977-citation documentation and Kaelbling et al.'s Åström-1965-citation documentation: both citation chains converge, via independent transmission channels, on A.A. Fel'dbaum

Greenhalgh's compositional separation of the Kwakernaak citation from the leadership-consensus passage is consistent with, not evidence against, the claim that political will preceded Song's scientific rationale
