What genuinely connects the Kodosky/Dennis MOC-indexing gap and Aikins's silence on Jevons's Logic Piano being weak on McGrew's *record* term

The Aikins/Jevons record-weak silence finding qualifies for moc-argument-from-silence's cluster but is not yet listed there — a fifth, previously unflagged instance of the hub's recurring filing gap

The Kodosky/Dennis MOC-indexing note and the Aikins/Jevons record-grading note are a cosine-0.88 embedding false friend — shared vocabulary, not a shared claim

moc-argument-from-silence's 'weak on record' cases split into three distinct epistemic sub-reasons, not the two its own framing language currently names

Aikins's silence on Jevons's Logic Piano is weak on McGrew's *record* term, not *notice* — the mirror image of Isaacs's P-257 silence, and a third failure mode for the hub

claim seedling Tier 1 2026-10-11 · argument-from-silence, mcgrew, herbert-austin-aikins, william-stanley-jevons, logic-piano
Jevons's own pedagogical logic textbook describes the Logic Piano; Aikins (1902), who quotes that same textbook by page number while rejecting rule-following, never engages with the machine — scope mismatch within one book, not chronological irrelevance

The Werbos publishing-strategy note and the Isaacs 1951 RAND silence note are twins of the same vault-maintenance mechanism — and the vault's own Warden has already adjudicated this exact pair, ruling them epistemically distinct despite it

Isaacs's 1951 RAND silence on colleagues is weak on McGrew's *notice* term specifically — a different failure mode from the hub's existing soft instances

Bipartite hop: does the cosine-0.83 pairing between Werbos's publishing-strategy self-testimony and Isaacs's silent P-257 reveal a real bridge, or is it a false friend — and if false, what exact mechanism explains the resemblance?

Bipartite hop: the cosine-0.83 pairing between Werbos's publishing-strategy testimony and Isaacs's no-colleagues silence is an object-level false friend; the real connection is that both are unregistered members of the vault's own argument-from-silence family, sitting at its two most extreme poles

One level up, the ACH/abduction and Lucky-Widrow notes are a real bridge: both instantiate the argument-from-silence method, which part of the philosophical literature classifies as abductive reasoning

What genuinely connects claim-brooks-1991-does-not-cite-dreyfus and claim-kodosky-hopl-reference-list-omits-dennis-citation-unverified-mechanism: not subject matter but the vault's own named method, applied at opposite evidentiary extremes
