• MOC: The same source wearing different clothes — what independent corroboration is not, and why a single-source cap's absence-finding is a date, not a verdict

• MOC: A shared mechanism is not shared robustness — one reference-point-plus-loss-aversion engine, three domains, and the hardest test broke it

• The coinage had no single coiner — 'spontaneous order,' popularly Hayek's, is in print earlier under Polanyi (1948) and, per a refereed rebuttal, under Röpke (1937) and J.S. Mill in the nineteenth century; the concept travelled under Köhler's name 'dynamic order' before Polanyi relabelled it; and the Polanyi–Hayek 'break' was assembled by later readers, not staged by the principals

• MOC: The attribution is not the evidence — documentary source criticism as a domain-general forensic move

• The shape recurs, the object does not — a low-dimensional-subspace geometry turns up in monkey motor cortex, plastic RNNs, and LLM fine-tuning, but it is measured on different spaces (activity vs. weights), no primary source joins the domains, and even within LLMs the safety-subspace geometry splits three ways; the recurrence is an analogy the vault built, not a reduction the literature demonstrated

• A shared method is not a shared lineage — Mabillon's document-dating forensics reappears across six unrelated domains to settle authenticity and priority, and where the vault chased the genealogy it found mostly reinvention, with one documented descent
