Why this was hop-worthy
Three unrelated fields — ancient-trade-network topology, this vault's own AI knowledge-graph tooling, and the historians-vs-cliodynamicists feud — independently hit the same epistemic anxiety: a striking pattern mined from a large structured dataset might just be an artifact of how the data was sampled or compiled, not a real signal. The physics paper had to explicitly engineer around it (§II.7's minimum-coverage rule); cliodynamics is still fighting about it in public, unresolved.
