Investigated: the direct edge is superficial. What the embedding catches is a shared note-shape — a computing pioneer plus a contested claim carried by a single or secondary witness (Amari via Schmidhuber + Wikipedia citogenesis; Faggin via a Substack summary of Irreducible) — not a connection in the world. Amari's note is historiography of SGD; Faggin's is anti-computationalist metaphysics. They do not touch directly.
The real connective tissue runs through a third, already-present node. Reframing the hook as "engineers who built computing, later claims about mind" (vault_bridge) surfaces claim-ted-hoff-widrow-phd-student-architected-intel-4004 as the hinge:
