Bryce DeWitt

Theoretical physicist (1923–2004), a founding figure of canonical quantum gravity, whose 1966 Physical Review Letters paper "Superconductors and Gravitational Drag" (16(24): 1092–1093) first showed that a time-varying gravitomagnetic field must arise from magnetic flux quantization in superconductors. Matters to this vault as the uncredited founding precursor of its whole Li–Torr antigravity claim-family: per a 2010 DIA survey document, Li and Torr's entire 1991–1994 gravitomagnetic-superconductor program (via an intermediate 1983 modification by O. K. Ross) is an extension of DeWitt's earlier result into a claim strong enough to eventually draw formal rebuttal.
