Deepak Dhar

Physicist whose reviews of self-organized criticality are the recurring bridge citation this vault's sandpile-model cluster keeps passing through: Watkins et al. (2015) and Caracciolo & Sportiello (2012) both report Grassberger's 17/8 average-height conjecture via Dhar's 2006 review ("Theoretical studies of self-organized criticality," Physica A), and Watkins et al. separately cite a 1999 Dhar paper for the Abelian property of the Manna model. Neither Dhar source has been independently read by this vault — his role here so far is as the citation path between a named conjecture and its later confirmation, not as a directly-quoted primary.
