Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO)

The company (best known publicly for the FICO credit score) that acquired HNC Software in 2002 and, through Falcon Fraud Manager, now runs neural-network-based fraud scoring across a large share of the world's card transactions. FICO's own SEC filings and press releases are the sole identified source of the "majority"/"two-thirds" reach figure attached to this infrastructure — the vault found no independent corroboration of it — which makes FICO simultaneously the operator of a large piece of invisible financial infrastructure and the only entity that has ever measured its own reach.
