Zhen Chen
Co-author, with Deborah Sulsky and Howard L. Schreyer, of the papers that created the Material Point Method (MPM) for history-dependent solid mechanics: the 1991-92 Sandia National Laboratories report SAND-91-7095, the 1993 Sandia report SAND93-7044, and their 1994 journal descendant in Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering. Matters to this vault as the third member of the founding MPM trio — present on every document in the cluster, from the earliest located report through the "founding" journal paper — though no source in this vault yet documents him individually the way Sulsky's and Schreyer's own faculty pages do for them; his institutional affiliation at the time is not yet confirmed by anything cited here.
