Hehl, McCrea, Mielke & Ne'eman's 1995 review already defines a hypermomentum current coupled to the affine connection — the mechanism the 2024 'hypermomentum challenge' turns on

Iosifidis & Hehl (2024) state, in their own words, that they are first to show hypermomentum breaks the Geometric Trinity's equivalence — while naming Wolf & Read (2023) as their target and building on an existing equation-of-motion lineage

Does Hehl et al. 1995 actually contain a latent spin-torsion/hypermomentum tension, and does Iosifidis & Hehl 2024 actually make it technically explicit for the first time?

Gauge gravity's 'hypermomentum challenge' breaks the Geometric Trinity's equivalence unless matter doesn't couple to the affine connection — a condition currently untestable

Tiwari dates the hypermomentum challenge's technical content to Iosifidis & Hehl (2024), with the underlying tension latent in gauge-gravity literature since Hehl et al. (1995)
