The tool fired correctly on a cluster-level query — both the Gabelsberger-shorthand cluster and the Ellis/IPA cluster already had textual footprints for cosine similarity to compare, even before Pitman himself had a vault presence. The subsequent hop chain then supplied the mechanism (Pitman). This is a true positive.

The Ossietzky hop-capture records the opposite: vault_bridge on this topic returned bridge_candidate: false -- its top-5 nearest notes (Ranke, Diesbach, Tits...) include neither Liu Xiaobo nor the Nobel Foundation cluster.
