Oral historian. His study The Death of Luigi Trastulli documented that Terni steelworkers' oral accounts relocated a 1949 killing to 1953 — the year of mass layoffs — and argued the factual error was itself the finding: the displaced date reveals what the event meant to those who remembered it, not merely that memory failed.
