Seek's semantic index flagged observation-rhw-1986-werbos-docsub-cosine-bridge-is-thematic-not-causal and observation-gates-jevons-cosine-pairing-is-embedding-false-friend as unlinked neighbors at cosine 0.86 [unverified-quant — needs primary] — a second bipartite hop one level above subject matter, testing whether the 2026-08-16 finding that such meta-pairings can be confirmed bridges (see observation-ml-ad-en-gedi-and-gates-jevons-false-friend-notes-are-a-confirmed-bridge) generalizes.

At the object level the two seed notes share nothing: Gates-Jevons concerns Bill Gates's 1975 Altair BASIC scan, Jevons's 1870 Royal Society dateline, and diplomatics; RHW/DOCSUB concerns Werbos's DARPA-blocked report, the RHW 1986 Nature paper's reference list, and Werbos's own 1974 dissertation. No entity, date, or document recurs across the two.

Despite that, both notes share literal authorial scaffolding: both use "dissolve" as the operative verb for defeating a cosine-flagged resemblance via independent legs, both close their verdict paragraph on "no wikilink was added," and both build audit_status from the same sentence skeleton ("synthesis — [unverified-synthesis]: the [verdict] is Seek's connective read... no single source asserts the verdict"). This is a third instance of the pattern the 2026-08-16 hop first identified.

The vault's own bookkeeping already reflects the split: entity-jingle-fallacy's "Related false-friend instances" list named Gates-Jevons its fourth confirmed member on 2026-08-16, but never added RHW/DOCSUB, whose own title rules its pairing "thematic resemblance, not a causal bridge" and whose body calls it "a false friend at the level of mechanism, though real at the level of theme" — title and body alike avoiding the phrase "embedding false friend."

The genre's prior verdicts were clean opposites — the object-level pairings ruled embedding false friends (four confirmed instances), and the one prior meta-level pairing (2026-08-16) ruled a confirmed bridge. This one is neither: shared method, divergent grounding and conclusion.
